The history of the Nankang brand dates back to 1959. The rapid development of the Taiwanese brand was down to a high demand for diagonal tyres and other rubber products. This meant that the brand developed very quickly and the company started to sell its products outside Asia. Nankang tyres are now exported to over 100 countries worldwide. Nankang specialises in the production of economy car tyres but also produces tyres for lorries, off-road vehicles and aircraft (helicopters and military aircraft).
