Tyre details:

The Kleber Quadraxer 2 is an all-season mid-range tyre designed for passenger cars and SUVs. It is the successor to the Kleber Quadraxer, which premièred in 2011 and which has been very popular among drivers.

As with the first-generation model, the Quadraxer 2 features a directional tread pattern that easily handles the most challenging road conditions by efficiently dispersing water, slush and snow. This model also features "Toboggan" drainage channels, which promote water dispersal and reduce the risk of aquaplaning. Tests carried out by the Michelin Group (which owns the Kleber brand) at the Michelin R&D Centre in Ladoux showed that the model is 8% more resistant to aquaplaning on straight roads than the previous-generation model and 4% more resistant on corners (tests carried out on size 205/55 R16 91H tyres).

The Kleber Quadraxer 2 tyre has been given a label rating of B for wet braking. This is one class higher than the previous generation, which was rated C. In practical terms, this means that braking distances on wet surfaces have been reduced by 5% (1.6 m).

The Kleber Quadraxer 2 can handle winter conditions easily, as shown by the 3PMSF and M+S markings displayed on the tyre. The direction of the blades has been changed in this model to ensure even more efficient moving off and braking on snow.

All-season tyres also have to ensure good drivability on dry surfaces. The Quadraxer 2 optimises the area of contact between the tyre and the road, resulting in braking distances that are 9% (3.5 m) shorter than the previous-generation model. This was confirmed by in-house tests carried out by the Michelin Group at the Fontange track (using size 205/55 R16 91H tyres).

Kleber is a well-established brand with a history stretching back to 1910. Kleber models are the tyre of choice for thousands of drivers all over Europe. As mentioned above, Kleber belongs to the Michelin Group and can thus access a wealth of innovative technological solutions. Kleber tyres combine superb performance with reliability and a reasonable price. The brand's symbol is a Boxer dog, intended to symbolise safety, reliability and control in any situation.

Quadraxer 2 Reviews

Nice tyres, I am surprised of their quiet. I live in the middle of the aurope and the reason of buying allyear tyres beside of winter tyres is warm winters, with lack of snow. At the rainy roads or wet roads they are not very grippy in comparision of my summer Hankook Prime3. I felt a little slide on rainy road at about +2C in the long curve when my wheel was at the middle road line. At heavy rains I found aquaplanning point quite soon, I think at lower speed than on Hankook summer tyres, but it learned me to drive more carefully in bad roadsconditions in cold weather. I had a one opportunity (during this winter) to try Kleber in heavy snow in steap hills passing throught mountain road passage and i was nice surprised. At the road was continous few cms thick film of snow. I have always snow chains in the trunk but, it wasn´t neccesary to use them. I had a car load by 3 adult persons with full trunk, and I didn´t notice any markable hesitation. So I am satisfied for good value for the moneys.
