Tyre details:The Continental ContiSportContact 5P is a premium-range summer tyre designed for everyday use. The model offers sporty features and excellent steering precision, whatever the weather. Solid central ribbing provides excellent structural rigidity and, combined with tread blocks and additional asymmetric pattern ribs, ensures stability and safety on the road.

This model adapts to surface conditions thanks to a flexible block located on the outer tyre shoulder. The area of contact between the Continental ContiSportContact 5P and the road has also been increased using a flexible rubber compound to ensure outstanding road adherence. The model uses Black Chilli technology, shortening the tyre warm-up time and improving driving precision. The addition of a special resin means that the tyre bites into wet and dry surfaces, reducing braking distances. Two tread components, the "cap” and the "base”, ensure optimal performance: the "cap” provides good grip on wet roads and shorter braking distances, while the "base” ensures reduced rolling resistance, whatever the weather. The engineers behind the Continental ContiSportContact 5P also focused on optimising the distribution of pressure acting on the tyre, which means that the tread wears slowly and evenly. Drivers can therefore take advantage of all of its features for its entire lifetime, without having to worry about a gradual reduction in performance and driving comfort. This model is suited to drivers looking for summer tyres that offer a balanced performance on any type of surface, as well as durability and reliability.

ContiSportContact 5 P Reviews

What can I say. I am on this website for a reason, and it is not a positive one. As mentioned many times before, nice tyre, ok grip, a lot of spinning when starting. Maybe it is a car itself, Leon ST FR 150 DSG, but still spins too easy in my opinion. Wear of the tyre is, shocking. I am fast driver but, honestly I have driven car for over 20 years and never came accross something like that . I have 4k kilometers and I am already concerned about the state of them. Slowing down now so hopefully will get to 8k ! My X5 was really bad, but it was doing 12-15k kilometers !!! I looked at the price of new ones and at approximately 115-130 EUR, I will definitely look into the different brands. Maybe they are all like that these days ??!

Upgraded from my potenza s001 (which I loved). I rotate my tyres every season for even wear so they tend to get to the wear line at similar times. Commuting across a-roads in the chilterns mainly with a weekly trip on the motorway and a long stint to the west country every 4 months or so - handled well across it all. Never once had to worry about losing grip when driving to road conditions. Handled the beast from the east ok - had one dodgy hill which a combination of my exceptional driving (thank you) and the tyres meant we made it up and home no worries. Brakes when I want them to, no wheel spin ever and look good. Road noise is a bit of a meh (but I got a a3 diesel) but tbh my radio is up so much I never really notice it much anyway. I've slapped on 12000 miles or so and I've probably got another 3000 miles before I wave them goodbye. Worth a punt but alittle pricey. Deciding whether to go for the new 6's or try either a newer brand or some michelins.

I have tried all premium brands and Continental and Goodyear are my favourites. I've used the older Sport Contact 2 and 3 and loved them. Unfortunately I didn't have these 5P on my car for long as I ended up changing the wheels but for the few months they were on there they didn't disappoint. Definitely one of the best tyres I've used for grip. I had Sport Contact 6 on the other axle and they were also great. I like to try new tyres but will always buy Continental too.
