The Michelin CrossClimate SUV is an SUV version of the world's first summer tyre approved for winter use. It is noted for its outstanding performance on dry and wet surfaces, as well as its superb traction on snow. The Michelin CrossClimate SUV is the ideal option for anyone looking for a tyre that can handle both summer and winter conditions.

The combination of a special rubber compound with an optimised design featuring a double carcass and stiffened side ensures that the tyre offers excellent grip in typical winter conditions. This design also provides excellent driving performance and helps optimise fuel consumption. This not only cuts costs but also helps protect the environment since lower fuel consumption means fewer atmospheric emissions of harmful substances.

The components used to manufacture the tyre are noted for their flexibility over a wide range of temperatures, as a result of which the CrossClimate SUV offers appropriate grip and stability both during heat waves and at extremely low temperatures. The increased contact area between the tyre and the road surface means that the vehicle is more sensitive to movements of the steering system, allowing for greater precision during cornering and sudden manoeuvres.

This model features a unique directional tread which ensures the efficient dispersal of water and snow from under the tyre. The exceptional nature of this design stems from the use of self-locking and highly effective blades, which offer superb performance not only on wet surfaces but also on dry surfaces.

Are you particularly interested in safety when choosing a tyre? The CrossClimate SUV is the ideal choice for you. Tread blocks with bevelled edges used in combination with blades improve the tyre's performance and lead to shorter braking distances on dry surfaces and on snow.

The French company Michelin is one of the largest tyre manufacturers in the world. The brands owned by the group include: Kleber, Kormoran and BFGoodrich.

CrossClimate SUV Reviews

Very good tyre in wet road and in light snow. I hadn't the opportunity to drive it in heavy snow. The consumption was increased by 0.5 l/100km in the first 3000 km. Opel Mokka 1.4T 4x4 (215/55/18). I recommend it for areas with frequent light snowfall.
Replaced the standard Continentals on my Audi A6 Allroad with these - and wow what a transformation! The car is significantly quieter on the road, and handles well. Very very reassuring in the wet, and they are still quiet in the wet. Not had chance to try them on snow yet, but this is where they are supposed to excel. Got these to ensure I had good safety all year round, but have to say they are just great tyres!
Have driven approx 12000 miles on Crossclimate 225/60 R17 tyres , on Hyundai ix35 4WD . Very little visible wear, despite living in the country and French mountains, and driving fast though the bends on a lot of winding roads . As I approach the limit and the drift sets in , the car remains balanced and controllable, with only minor understeer both in the dry and wet . These are very well-mannered all round tyres, even in driving snow in the Alps .
