Information on the tyre:

Meet the new generation of summer tyres with approval for winter use. With the special rubber compound based on functional elastomers and the addition of silica, Michelin CrossClimate+ maintains its performance both in summer and in winter (which is proved by the 3PMSF affixed on the side). The tyre was tested in temperatures from -30°C to +40°C and the tests ran for nearly 5 million kilometres. The manufacturer has managed to improve the durability, which is even 25% higher compared to other premium all-season tyres. The properties of the tyre’s surface enhance the grip even on wet roads, which makes travelling on CrossClimate+ safe.

Tread:

Michelin CrossClimate+ has a directional tread pattern with V-shaped grooves. The use of such a pattern implies the need of directional installation, as per the “Rotation” marking. Thanks to the deep grooves and drain notches, the model perfectly drains water from under the crown ply. Additionally, the self-locking 3D sipes support braking on dry surfaces and ensure mobility on snowy roads. The tread pattern increases the effect of engagement on snow, and with the high stiffness the tyre is more durable.

Intended use:

The tyres are available in sizes from 15 to 18 inches and are intended for passenger cars and SUVs.

Information on the manufacturer:

At Michelin, they focus on high product quality. The brand has been active on the market since 1889 and has constantly developed by introducing new technologies and surprising solutions. The brand sets the direction of development for the entire industry, so it’s no surprise that they want to be the leaders by improving their technologies for reliable and safe tyres.

CrossClimate Plus Reviews

Bought set of 4 new Cross Climate XL from Halfords a week ago and only covered approximately 200 miles. So it is still very early days BUT I have noticed a lot less road noise and much more responsive steering. My car came with Continental tyres as OEM & has covered just over 21K miles from new - was registered March 2014.
Jon, thanks for the "London to Switzerland" video review. Having driven years on Goodyear's F1 Asymmetric range and Conti's Sport Contact range, I was sceptical of an all seasons tyre. I was wrong. For M-way, fast A-road and a mix of minor roads, Michelin CrossClimate+ proved to be sure footed, responsive and surprisingly quiet and comfy. Recommended.
Certainly more quiet than original Bridgestone and more confident with breaking and road holding. I have yet to confirm that they are as good in winter conditions.Prices do vary from different suppliers/fitters so check this out- I obtained a good deal from Kwik-fit plus a free Dash Cam ( waiting for that to arrive) Overall though I am impressed aon my top of the range car now have what I consider to be a top class tyre
